Envy - Sam Singer
4.25 ~ Review by Leisa

Envy is the sequel to Broken, which introduces fragile, formerly abused sub Kenneth to protective and compassionate Dom David. Kenneth responds to David’s loving Domination and flourishes. Envy takes places a year into their relationship. David and Kenneth have Dom Shawn and his collared sub Jason for dinner. David is quickly consumed with jealousy and envy at the relationship that Shawn and Jason have, as well as how close and trusting Kenneth is with both Shawn and Jason. When they leave for the evening, David confronts Kenneth with his fear that Kenneth would be happier in a menage Dom/sub relationship with Shawn and Jason than he is with David.

I love BDSM books, and I liked the beginning of David and Kenneth’s relationship in the first book in this series, Broken. Envy finds David and Kenneth’s relationship going well, but David still has doubts about whether Kenneth wants to be with him since he’s quite a bit older than Kenneth. He’s envious of Shawn and Jason, yet he hasn’t collared Kenneth in the year they’ve spent together. I just love how Kenneth ignores David’s protestations and pushes David to tell him the truth about his doubts, and that this “disobedience” is rewarded with a yummy BDSM scene between the two men that is rife with love and emotion...
