Taught to Love is a sweet hurt/comfort novelette (with a side order of “gay for you” tossed in for good measure) about a grieving man and son who are given an unexpected second chance at happiness. The characters are sympathetic and likable, especially Sam, who eagerly wants his father to have a relationship with his teacher, Rob, because he sees that Rob makes his incredibly sad father happy again. The chemistry between Rob and Ken isn’t off the charts hot, but they do “fit” together nicely as a couple, and the addition of son Sam creates a delightful family dynamic...
