I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect from this little story. I knew it offered hurt comfort, but the rest was somewhat up in the air for me. The result, however, was pretty darn good. In the end, I really enjoyed this entire story – plot, characters, and setting.

Raph has some horrors in his past, of which he is somewhat closed mouthed. He lives a life of virtual solitude with his brother and his brother’s partner in the Vermont country side. He is happy with his bees, Mead, Fruit Wine, and beer. Marcus’ horrors are much more recent. With a horrible man in his rear-view mirror, he is just looking to feel safe again. Somehow, they each find what they need in the other one...
