Peanut Butter and Jelly for Two by Jackie Nacht is an adorable shifter tale. It sets up a world where shifters of all kinds can live together and not feel abnormal. Each human shifter portrays traits of their animal counterpart including family structure and, as in Phillip the chipmunks case, hoarding tendencies. The story was a quick, easy read that was full of humor and very little angst. Jackie Nacht has developed a shifter world that is different than most, with shifters having to search for their mate just like humans. In addition, shifters do not heal with the change and need doctors/dentists for both the human and animal sides.
In addition to the creative world she presented, Ms. Nacht did a great job with the growing relationship between the two main characters...
