I love seeing a well written, tight, and clean self-published story. So often these days, I find self-published to lack the quality I seek when I am paying for a story. I was very pleased to see Vaughn, however, stays far away from that trap.
Samuel is having a bad, bad day. The one highlight, however, is meeting Arthur at the grocery store while they both reach for the last loaf of bread. Definition of “meet-cute” right there. Always the start of an interesting story, in my experience. French Toast Emergencies is no different. For poor Samuel, it is one problem after another, eventually leading to him spending a snowy day stuck in an apartment with Arthur...
